RACHEL PORTMAN - "Never let go" (2010)

Never Let Me Go is an upcoming sci-fi, drama, thriller film based on a novel of same name written by Kazuo Ishiguro. It is directed by Mark Romanek and stars Academy Award nominees Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan along with Golden Globe winner Sally Hawkins. Alex Garland wrote the screenplay for the film. The film is produced by DNA Films and Film4. It will be distributed by Fox Searchlight Pictures for the United States of America.

An alternate history story of a woman who, as she reflects on her private school years in the English countryside, reunites with her two friends to face the dark secrets buried in their communal past. With no contact or knowledge of the outside world during their years at the boarding school, they discover they are clones, born and raised for the sole purpose of providing organs for transplants.

RACHEL PORTMAN - Grey Gardens [CD]

New release on CD for the well-known composer, Rachel Portman, the first female composer to win an Academy Award in the category of Best Original Score (for Emma in 1996).


Based on the lives that inspired the Maysles Brothers' classic documentary, this HBO Films drama tells the story of "Big Edie" Beale (Jessica Lange) and her daughter "Little Edie" (Drew Barrymore), who forged a unique bond while living in a ramshackle East Hampton mansion.


Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange star in HBO's "Grey Gardens," the riches-to-rags story of two charming eccentrics who were relatives of Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis.
