BRIAN TYLER's new audio interview

Download the Interview (mp3 Podcast)

"Composer Brian Tyler rejoins ScoreNotes.com to chat about his two recent projects, "Dragonball: Evolution" and "The Fast and the Furious 4." Both of these films are slated for an April 2009 release date and each provided Brian a unique scoring opportunity. For those of you curious about his upcoming projects, Brian also updates us on the status of his upcoming film, "Battle Los Angeles," a film that looks to be epic in scope and sound. And finally, we also get his opinion about the use of his music in the recent "Star Trek" trailer. As always, it's a wonderful conversation with one of the most in-demand composers working in the industry today."

BRIAN TYLER's fast and the furious (2009) on CD

Pre-orders are now being accepted. This CD will ship on or after 4/28/09.

Vin Diesel and Paul Walker reteam for the ultimate chapter of the franchise built on speed — Fast and Furious. Heading back to the streets where it all began, they rejoin Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster to blast muscle, tuner and exotic cars across Los Angeles and floor through the Mexican desert in the new high-octane action-thriller.

When a crime brings them back to L.A., fugitive ex-con Dom Toretto (Diesel) reignites his feud with agent Brian O'Conner (Walker). But as they are forced to confront a shared enemy, Dom and Brian must give in to an uncertain new trust if they hope to outmanuever him. And from convoy heists to precision tunnel crawls across international lines, two men will find the best way to get revenge: push the limits of what's possible behind the wheel.

Brian Tyler, who composed the best score of the franchise for Tokyo Drift, returns to supercharge this latest model.

Universal Pictures opens Fast and Furious nationwide on April 3.

Brian Tyler scores fast and furious with Fast & Furious

Quoting from source:

"Recently, composer Brian Tyler was at the Newman Scoring Stage at 20th Century Fox to record his score for Fast & Furious, the latest installment in the popular underground car racing series that reunites actors Vin Diesel and Paul Walker. Fresh off of Dragonball Evolution, Tyler originally had a few months to work on the score for Fast & Furious - but the release date was moved up, necessitating a serious time crunch to get it all done."
