BRIAN TYLER to score "RED DAWN"

As reported by the representing agency, the Gorfaine-Schwartz Agency, the composer is going to be responsible for the musical accompaniment for the upcoming 2010 war film, Red dawn.

Being directed by Dan Bradley and written by Carl Ellsworth, the movie is based on the 1984 film of the same name.The remake stars Chris Hemsworth and Josh Peck as brothers Jed and Matt Eckert. The film is scheduled to be released on September 24, 2010.

In this movie, a group of teenagers look to save their town from an invasion of Chinese and Russian soldiers.

BRIAN TYLER to score "LAW ABIDING CITIZEN"

According to the Gorfaine-Schwartz Agency, Brian Tyler is attached to F. Gary Gray's thriller Law Abiding Citizen, starring Gerard Butler, Michael Gambon, Jamie Foxx, Leslie Bibb and Christian Stolte. Gray previously worked with composers Anne Dudley (American History X, A Man Apart) and John Powell (The Italian Job, Be Cool); Law Abiding Citizen is his first with Brian Tyler.

Law Abiding Citizen is an upcoming drama/thriller film that takes place in Philadelphia and will be released on March 26, 2010

In this movie, an everyday guy (Gerald Butler) decides to take justice into his own hands after a plea bargain sets his family's killers free. But as his plan for vengeance is revealed and a city is brought to its knees, it becomes clear that he is far more brilliant and unstoppable than anyone could have expected.

The Final Destination (known within the franchise as Final Destination 4) is an upcoming 3-D supernatural thriller/horror film written by Eric Bress and directed by David R. Ellis, both of whom also worked on Final Destination 2. Set for an August 28, 2009 release, it is the fourth installment to the Final Destination franchise, and the first of which to be shot in HD 3-D.

BRIAN TYLER's "DRAGONBALL" Release on CD

One of America's youngest, coolest and hottest names in the film music area, is composer BRIAN TYLER. A never stopping to take a breath-machine that produces kick-ass, adrenaline-pumped modern scores, that do however slightly suffer in terms of originality, some times.

Still, one of his biggest assignments to date is Dragonball Evolution, an upcoming 2009 American live-action film adaptation of the Dragon Ball media franchise being produced by 20th Century Fox. The story centers around the adventures of the lead character, Goku, from his childhood into adulthood. The film began development in 2002, and is directed by James Wong and produced by Stephen Chow. It is scheduled for release on April 8, 2009. Actor Justin Chatwin was cast as Goku, and James Marsters will be portraying Lord Piccolo, the antagonist of the film.

BRIAN TYLER | The Lazarus Project (new CD release)

American composer Brian Tyler, has a new CD release out, of one of his latest scores, THE LAZARUS PROJECT.

The movie's a 2008 drama/thriller film directed and written by John Glenn. It stars Paul Walker as Ben, a former criminal who gets a second chance at life and mysteriously ends up working at a psychiatric hospital. Linda Cardellini, Malcolm Goodwin, Tony Curran and Bob Gunton also star in the film, which was released on DVD on October 21, 2008.

The hypnotic music that accompanies it is by BRIAN TYLER and is being released on CD via Varese Sarabande, with more info / tracklisting and more over at the label's website, HERE.

REPORT: TYLER BATES scores "THE WATCHMEN" - Photos and article on the recording sessions

American composer of 300, Tyler Bates, is responsible for the musical accompaniment of the long awaited upcoming comic book adaptation, The Watchmen.

Watchmen is an upcoming 2009 American superhero film that adapts Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' 1986 comic book limited series of the same name. Directed by Zack Snyder, the film adaptation stars Patrick Wilson, Jackie Earle Haley, Malin Akerman, Billy Crudup, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Matthew Goode, Stephen McHattie and Carla Gugino. Set in an alternate 1985, the film follows a group of former vigilantes as tensions heighten between the United States and the Soviet Union. The film began shooting in Vancouver in September 2007 for release on March 6, 2009. As with his previous film 300, Snyder closely modeled his storyboards on the comic, but he chose not to shoot all of Watchmen using chroma key and opted for more sets.

This past fall, as scoringsessions.com reports, he was at the Eastwood Scoring Stage at Warner Bros. to record his score for the film where an 87-piece orchestra was used, and ScoringSessions.com was there to report with exclusive photos from the scoring session.
