Hans Zimmer & Aleksey Igudesman will score the documentary Jealous of the Birds

Jealous of the Birds, currently in post-production, is a feature length documentary that provides a new angle and new stories to the pantheon of Holocaust related documentaries. The film focuses on the emotional history of a small community of Holocaust Survivors who remained in Frankfurt, Germany after liberation from Nazi death camps, and asks the question, 'Why would a Survivor choose to remain in Germany -- shoulder to shoulder with their perpetrators?'

Hans Zimmer and Aleksey Igudesman are responsible for the film's film score.

Stay tuned for more.

HANS ZIMMER to score the latest JAMES L. BROOKS comedy

I guess one can't really expect any musical surprises here as Zimmer's romantic / comedy output during the last 5 years or so, has been generally moving onto the same direction.

Quoting from the source, moviescoremagazine.com:
"Hans Zimmer has been tapped to score another film for veteran director James L. Brooks, tentatively titled How Do You Know? Brooks and Zimmer worked before on three films, including As Good As It Gets – and joining the two from that 1997 success is actor Jack Nicholson, who has tops the cast together with Reese Witherspoon, Paul Rudd and Owen Wilson. HANS ZIMMER's new AUDIO interview on ON THE SCORE

"In a holiday season where the phrase “game-changer” is bandied about like no one’s Hollywood business, few composers truly fit the term like Hans Zimmer. Ascending as an assistant to composer Stanley Meyers on such scores as “Moonlighting” and “My Beautiful Launderette,” the German-born Zimmer now commands the massive, art-filled domain of Remote Control in Santa Monica. In this workaholic studio, the composer and his team have created a distinctly melodic, Oscar-winning sound that’s changed the sound of movies big and small with the diversely numerous likes of “Backdraft,” “The Lion King” “The Dark Knight,” “Black Hawk Down,” “The Last Samurai” and “Spanglish.” In the collaborative process, Zimmer has helped sent out such talent into the scoring world as John Powell (“The Bourne Identity”), Trevor Rabin “(“Armageddon”), Ramin Djawadi (“Iron Man”) and Harry Gregson-Williams (“The Chronicles of Narnia”)."

HANS ZIMMER to score "IT'S COMPLICATED"

According to Stuart M.Thomas' website, who is a composer/arranger, Hans Zimmer will be the main composer on a new upcoming project, entitled It's complicated.

It's Complicated (2009)
Directed by Nancy Meyers
Music by Hans Zimmer & James Newton Howard
26 Films

It's Complicated is a 2009 American romantic comedy feature film written and directed by Nancy Meyers, starring Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin, and Steve Martin. The film is rated R for some drug content and sexuality. But the rating is pending appeal. Therefore, the rating could change to PG-13 or it could stay R.

Jane is a self-reliant divorcee who owns a successful bakery in Santa Barbara. After ten years of separation and 3 grown children, she finally achieves a good relationship with her ex-husband Jake, a successful attorney who has remarried the much-younger Agness. Jane and Jake meet when out of town and attending the college graduation of their son. A dinner together develops into an affair, making Jane "the other woman". Complicating matters is Adam, an architect hired to remodel Jane’s kitchen, who is himself healing from a divorce of his own, and who has begun to fall in love with Jane. He realizes he is now part of a very strange love triangle.

Stay tuned for more info as it becomes available.
