On 22nd February Silva Screen is set to release EDGE OF DARKNESS, Howard Shore’s soundtrack to Martin Campbell’s remake of 1985 BAFTA Award-winning BBC mini-series.

Directed by Martin Campbell (Goldeneye, Casino Royale), and starring Mel Gibson, Edge of Darkness is an emotionally charged thriller that tells a murky story of politics and big business.

This is the fifth release of a Howard Shore soundtrack on the Silva Screen label. Previous releases include The Cell, A History Of Violence, The Departed and The Last Mimzy.

News on JOHN CORIGLIANO's "EDGE OF DARKNESS"

John Corigliano and Leonard Slatkin has just recorded the score with the London Metropolitan Orchestra.

Edge of Darkness is an upcoming film adaptation of Edge of Darkness, a 1985 BBC television series. It stars Mel Gibson and Ray Winstone, and is directed and produced by Martin Campbell and Michael Wearing, who also directed and produced the original. The film follows a detective (Gibson) investigating the murder of his activist daughter, uncovering political conspiracies and cover-ups in the process.

As homicide detective Thomas Craven investigates the death of his activist daughter, he uncovers not only her secret life, but a corporate cover-up and government collusion that attracts an agent tasked with cleaning up the evidence.
